The wife and I are going through this book during our morning study time. It is a great book inasmuch as it illustrates just how the adversary works. That way, we can be prepared and know what is going on when he uses one of his "fiery darts" on us.
This book gives practical methods to evaluate where you are between hopelessness and hope. It then helps to fight the wiles of Satan while building defenses against the fiery darts or self defeating thoughts he places in the mind. He admits to being in some very dark places in his past and developed this successful methods for himself. His explanation is detailed and easy to follow.
This book gives hope to the hopeless. From an LDS perspective, it boldly speaks of the reality and power of Satan and his minions. But as powerful as he is it testifies of Jesus and how He is infinitely more powerful, and how, by putting on the armor of God and trusting in His power we can overcome temptation and sin, especially sexual sin. Highly recommended.
One of the best books ever written by one of those individuals who has been down in the trenches. Steven Cramer does an excellent job of relating gospel principals to his own personal life and lets those who are also in the trenches know that by applying the principals in his book that they can get out as well. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is struggling with their testimony and feels that the forces of evil are beginning to over power them. Theodore Sumrall
Outside of the standard works, this book has been a 10/10 experience. I feel like I have come to know my savior more by reading it and pondering on the scriptural filled content.
Awesome book. I've learned so much reading this about how to win my battles with Satan. If you struggle with anything in your life, whether it be an addiction or trouble with worry and negative thinking, you owe it to yourself to read this book.
This is by far the most comprehensive book on how Satan can and will attack God's children in the earth. The insights are humbling and empowering. It is an easy read, well written - but powerful in its message.
